In this archive you will find both versions of ChipSaver 1.31 & 1.8

The 1.31 is exactly the same as the 1st spread 1.3a **BUT** a BIG bug has
been fixed:CS1.3a couldn't be installed on some machines (ex:A1200 2 Mb chip!)


The 1.8 is a MAJOR enhancement of 1.3,but it also uses more memory,which is
quite unimportant for those of you who have FASTmem,but can be annoying on
machines with ONLY CHIPmem.Here are the needs of both versions:

        CS 1.3 needs 1 Kb in Fast or Chipmemory

        CS 1.8 needs 8 Kb in Fast or Chipmemory
                (plus additional 8 Kb in Chipmem for the 'menu' option)

Obviously,on a plain A1200,if a demo uses ALL the Chipmem,CS1.8 will more
easily 'harmed' than CS1.31 !!! :-)

So,All of you who have chipmem only,keep CS1.31 as a spare solution.As for da
other ones,be kind enough to forget these rusty bytes!!
